Catholic University of Angola, Angola

The Catholic University of Angola (UCAN) was established in 1997 to improve the education of the Angolan people. Previously located at a smaller campus adjacent to a school, the increasing need for education in Angola required UCAN to develop a larger site in Palanca.

Aurecon provided design and construction supervision services for the new campus. Currently housing an administration section and the engineering, law and economic science faculties, Aurecon was responsible for the civil, structural and geotechnical engineering as well as landscaping the campus grounds.

The main building contains four floors with a number of proposed future additions, including a library for which Aurecon will provide construction supervision.
