Proudest moment in your career?
I enjoy seeing the infrastructure that our airports team has designed become operational - starting back in 1999, when I witnessed my first runway rehabilitation design being used by aircraft at Sydney Airport.
What are the keys to successful project delivery?
The most important lesson you learnt early in your career?
Listen to the client and your team, have confidence in yourself but don’t be afraid to seek out answers to question you don’t understand.
Where do you see airports over the next five years?
Airports are becoming more and more important in terms of economic growth. In many cases an airport is the driver behind the growth and development of a region. As passenger numbers continue to increase year on year, along with the need for increased maintenance, capital investment is likely to escalate.
As a result, I see airports as ever growing inter-model hubs, at which there is a need for specialist assistance to help the respective airports reach their full potential.
