11 January 2016 - Aurecon was recognised in 2015 as one of the top empowered companies in South Africa for its continued commitment to transformation by Impumelelo, the country’s leading business-to-business directory.
Topco Media’s Impumelelo is South Africa’s benchmark reference work on empowerment, providing a listing of organisations that adhere to its minimum empowerment requirements.
This recognition is the outcome of an evaluation conducted by Topco’s in-house research facility that requires all companies and organisations registering to join Impumelelo to meet stringent entry criteria. Aurecon was able to demonstrate its eligibility in respect of the three qualifying spheres of empowerment credentials, financial performance, and the triple bottom line.
“Broad-based empowerment and transformation are business imperatives at Aurecon. To be recognised as one of the leading empowered companies in South Africa is indicative of the company’s ongoing commitment to transformation,” says Fani Xaba, Business Development Manager at Aurecon.
Vuyelwa Masangwana, Strategic Equity Partner of Aurecon further adds, “While we have made significant progress in transforming our South African business, we continue to strive towards improved levels of transformation to contribute to the country’s economic base, as well as stimulate economic growth and employment.”
Aurecon is a verified Level two Contributor to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment with a procurement preference level of 125%.
