Aurecon water treatment experts at Ozwater’15

Ozwater conference 2015

07 May 2015 - Aurecon’s Susan Kitching and Geoff du Toit will be sharing expertise in water treatment at Ozwater '15, to be held on 12-14 May 2015 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The conference, themed ‘water for growth and prosperity’, will bring together national and international speakers and delegates to discuss the latest innovations in the water sector.

Susan Kitching, Associate at Aurecon, is presenting a paper on optimising wastewater treatment plant performance.

Sustainability is a key challenge for water utilities in Australia, as they continue to look for new ways to optimise their existing assets so that they can deliver value for their customers,” Susan said.

“At Ozwater '15, we will be sharing some of the ways we are assisting our clients to achieve this through a systematic approach to improving effluent quality, understanding and maximising capacity and lowering energy consumption,” Susan said.

Geoff du Toit, also an Associate at Aurecon and based in Cape Town, South Africa, will present a paper on a case study of biological oxidation of iron and manganese rich ground waters.

“I am looking forward to networking at Ozwater with the leading minds in water and wastewater in Australia to see where there are opportunities for collaboration between South Africa and Australia,” Geoff said.

Aurecon Water and Wastewater Leader Julian Briggs will be addressing delegates at the welcome networking evening which Aurecon is sponsoring on Monday 11 May 2015 at Adelaide Oval.
