“Fernando is fluent in many of the languages spoken in West Africa and he has worked on notable projects for both public and private sector clients in the region. His ability to deliver sustainable, value-adding solutions across the built environment, construction, resources, government and water sectors, among others, made him a great choice for this role,” says Miranda.
Aurecon opened its office in Accra, Ghana, in 2013 to support Aurecon’s client-centric business model by ensuring a strong local presence in the region. Ghana is considered an emerging star in West Africa, with notable growth and rapid progress, making it a favourable environment for companies like Aurecon to do business.
“Aurecon is committed to investing in emerging economies. I have greatly enjoyed my years in Angola and I am excited and honoured to be heading up the office in Accra. The West African markets offer many opportunities for Aurecon and I look forward to working with the team to grow our market share in this region,” says Fernando Jorge.
