05 February 2015 - The Australian Financial Review (AFR) Client Choice Awards finalists were announced today, with Aurecon named as a finalist in four categories.

The AFR Client Choice Awards are an awards programme for professional services firms which has run in Australia for the last 10 years, and was introduced in New Zealand for the first time this year.

Another first for this year’s AFR Client Choice Awards was the introduction of awards for outstanding practitioners in the accounting, consulting engineering, law and management consulting professions.

Aurecon has been named as a finalist in four categories

  1. Best firm - Construction / Infrastructure industry: Australia and New Zealand (all professional service firms compete for this category)
  2. Best consulting engineering firm - 50 – 200 million category: Australia and New Zealand (engineering only) - Aurecon NZ
  3. Most client focussed consulting engineer: Australia and New Zealand regions - Craig Stevenson, Technical Director - Buildings, from our Auckland/Wellington DC . Craig is one of only four finalists in this category
  4. Best firm - New Zealand (engineering only)

The finalists and ultimate winners of The AFR Client Choice Awards are identified from the overall client service performance results of the Beaton Benchmark reports that are completed in both Australia and New Zealand. The independent research is undertaken in an online survey of 20 000 plus clients from all participating professional services firms.

Of particular note is Aurecon Technical Director - Buildings, Craig Stevenson, who has been individually recognised in the “Most client focussed consulting engineer” category for individual practitioners. Craig, who specialises in structural and seismic engineering and is located in Auckland, is one of the top four practitioners in the whole of Australia and New Zealand to be highly rated by their clients.

William Cox, Aurecon’s Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand said, “This is great recognition from the most important people to our business - our clients – and gives invaluable insight into how our clients rate their satisfaction of their experience with us. I wish to congratulate all of our people in making a real difference with our clients”.

The top four of the highest rating firms and practitioners are named as Finalists in each separate Award category, with the top scoring firms and practitioners being announced as the Winners at the Client Choice Awards gala dinner in Sydney on 10 March 2015.
