High calibre leaders for Aurecon’s eThekwini (KZN) and Bloemfontein (Free State) offices

22 November 2014 - In a move that confirms the company’s on-going transformation, Global engineering, management and specialist technical services company Aurecon has announced the appointment of two new Offices Managers for its eThekwini (KZN) and Bloemfontein (Free State) offices.

Effective 1 December 2014, Dr Aman Maharaj will fulfil the role of Office Manager, eThekwini; while Teboho Lemao will fulfil the role of Office Manager, Bloemfontein.

“Aurecon is a company which is continually striving to enhance the service it provides its clients, with a focus on excellence,” says Ronnie Khoza, Aurecon’s Manager, South Africa Offices. He adds that “Selecting high-calibre leaders to fulfil leadership roles throughout our business plays a vital role in ensuring we remain focused on achieving this aim.”

About Dr Aman Maharaj


Maharaj hold a BSc in Engineering (Civil) and is a registered Professional Engineer. He also holds an MBA and PhD in Development Studies. He has worked for several well-known public and private entities, including the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (now Water and Sanitation); Deloitte and Touche; Dulux; IQ Business Group; ABSA Bank; EThekwini Metro, as Deputy Head, Economic Development; Development and Engineering Consultants (DEC) as Manager, Engineering and Economics; Hatch-Goba as Senior Project Engineer; and Rainmaker Infrastructure Dynamix as Founding Member.

“Maharaj brings with him a broad base of experience and exposure to multiple industry environments, and specifically the engineering sector. I am confident he will contribute strongly to our leadership team within this region,” comments Khoza.

About Teboho Lemao


Lemao has more than a decade of experience in the engineering environment. He holds an MBA degree; a Diploma in Project Management; a B Tech in Electrical Engineering; and is a registered Professional Engineering Technologist. While working for power utility ESKOM, he interfaced closely with consultants in the built environment. Having started as a technician and later senior technician in the metering section, Lemao quickly progressed to hold diverse senior positions, including Project Coordinator and Programme Manager (in Bloemfontein); and Regional Portfolio Manager (in Kimberley).

“Having worked extensively in Bloemfontein and Kimberley, Lemao brings to the table valuable knowledge of the operating environment in the Free State and Northern Cape areas. His technical and leadership background in the energy space is set to add immense value to Aurecon,” comments Khoza.
