11 September 2013 - Aurecon’s employer brand strategy has been recognised as best practice, winning the Best Employer Branding category at the Australian HR Awards, held last Friday, 6 September, in Sydney.
The Australian HR Awards are considered the most prestigious national awards for human resources, with approximately 800 people from leading organisations across a variety of sectors attending the gala event to celebrate best practice in their fields.
Aurecon was also in contention for another award, being shortlisted for Best Learning and Development Strategy. While AMP was named winner of that category, to be shortlisted was a great achievement by the Talent Development team.
The Best Employer Branding award recognises excellence in the delivery of employer branding campaigns across a range of criteria, including complexity of employer branding issue, outcomes, and distinctiveness of messaging, above others.
In accepting the Award, Shannon Gillespie, Employer Brand Manager, spoke of the huge team effort that has gone into building and strengthening our employer brand in recent years.
“Aurecon’s employer brand is co-owned by both Human Capital and Marketing & Communications, so this award recognises what is truly a team effort."
“Our employer brand has been on an amazing journey in the four years since Aurecon’s creation, making this national recognition even more rewarding.” adds Liam Hayes, Talent & Culture Leader at Aurecon.
The win at the Australian HR Awards follows Aurecon’s Employer Brand receiving a Gold Quill of Excellence earlier this year from the International Association of Business Communicators in the category of Brand Strategy.
Aurecon’s Talent Development has also been nominated in the Australian Institute of Training and Development Excellence Awards. The winner will be announced in October this year.
