SP Ausnet

27 May 2013 - Aurecon has been awarded a position on SP AusNet’s distribution, transmission and sub transmission capital works provider panel to carry out design services for the next three years with a possible extension to five years.

“I see tremendous similarities between our two cultures. SP AusNet and Aurecon share common values – safety, passion, teamwork, integrity and excellence,” said CEO Paul Hardy.

SP AusNet manages three Victorian energy networks – electricity transmission, electricity distribution and gas distribution.

Aurecon will provide transmission and distribution design services to assist SP AusNet in the delivery of its significant capital works programme.

John Szmalko, Power Transmission and Distribution Leader at Aurecon, said that our team will provide SP AusNet with constructible, practical designs and will stay involved throughout the construction process. “Our commitment to SP AusNet goes through to completion, both of the project and throughout the panel life,” he said.

Aurecon has committed to providing a core team in Melbourne, which will be supplemented by our global resource base as needed.

“Our business model enables us to quickly create multidisciplinary, collaborative teams across all aspects of civil and structural design, project and asset management,” added Paul Hardy.

Aurecon has a strong track record in the transmission and distribution sector. Our focus is on providing innovative solutions that meet schedule and budget without compromising on performance, functionality, reliability, flexibility or security, for either the development of new or refurbishment of existing infrastructure.
