20 June 2013 - Through a Leighton Able Joint Venture, Aurecon healthcare technology experts are dedicated to optimising Building Services design to deliver world-class medical facilities for Hong Kong’s first community hospital in North Lantau.

The medical facility will provide much needed community care and key medical services to serve the growing healthcare needs of residents of Lantau island. Among the services provided under the first phase is diagnostic and treatment services, and support services such as pharmacy and administrative services.
Mr Sin added: “Through the latest modeling tools we can facilitate better coordination and decision making to consistently deliver market leading, high quality buildings to maintain safe, healthy building conditions well into the future.”
Aurecon was commissioned to provide electrical and mechanical design services for this project. Major services provided by Aurecon under phase one of the development includes 160 in-patient beds, ambulatory services including accident and emergency department, primary care and specialist outpatient clinics and community care services. Construction commenced in February 2010 and was completed in July 2012.
