Pieter Conradie

26 April 2013 - Aurecon has recently won a prized position on Eskom’s Panel B for the next five years.

As the electricity provider for 95 per cent of South Africa’s and approximately 45 per cent of Africa’s electricity use, Eskom is the largest utility on the continent.

“This new contact will open doors in the power generation and transmission spaces whereas in the past we had typically provided services related to power distribution,” said Pieter Conradie, Aurecon’s Client Relationship Executive for Eskom and Business Development Manager for Energy.

Conradie added that staff from across all of Aurecon’s geographies could be allocated assignments to provide multidisciplinary services on the panel.

With renowned expertise in delivering services to electrical utilities worldwide, our previous NETgroup engagement, and 22 years of experience working with Eskom in South Africa, Aurecon was well placed to win a position on the panel.

The scope of the contract covers design and project management services in the following areas:

  • Coal fired technology
  • Hydro and pumped storage technology
  • Open or combined cycle gas turbines technology
  • Heat recovery steam generator power technology
  • Renewables technology
