29 June 2012 - Aurecon has signed as a Corporate Member of Australia’s first professional cycling team, ORICA-GreenEDGE, as they prepare to race in the Tour de France commencing on Saturday 30 June.
“As cycling gains popularity worldwide as a healthy, safe, enjoyable and sustainable form of transport, Aurecon is demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and promoting healthy lifestyles through involvement with major cycling events,” said Aurecon CEO Paul Hardy.
As an Orica-GreenEDGE supporter, our staff and clients will be able to get up close to some of the world’s best riders at corporate hospitality events and the Tour Down Under in Adelaide in January 2013.
The Tour Down Under is a major race for the diverse GreenEDGE team, which includes elite riders from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
“We want to involve everyone in this initiative, not just cycling enthusiasts,” said Bill Cox, General Manager, Australia and New Zealand at Aurecon.
“Aurecon is pleased to support ORICA-GreenEDGE and be associated with a world-class cycling team,” added Bill.
This support aligns with Aurecon’s commitment to making a contribution to the communities in which we live and work, and its values of fostering human achievement and building a vibrant and brighter future for all.
GreenEDGE Co-Founder Gerry Ryan adds “We are delighted that Aurecon has joined our extended family and welcome their staff and clients along for the ride.”
Aurecon wishes ORICA-GreenEDGE good luck in the upcoming Tour.
