10 July 2012 - Aurecon has made some management changes in its Perth office with the appointment of Paul Frewer as office manager. Paul takes over the role from Don Phillips.
Paul joined Aurecon in April 2011 and has been instrumental in driving business growth.
Commenting on the appointment, Bill Cox, General Manager Australia and New Zealand for Aurecon, said, “We anticipate an exciting year ahead as we continue to grow our business. Paul’s experience in our key growth sectors of resources, property and transport is instrumental in moving us forward as we further build our capability to deliver value to our clients.”
A planner by profession Paul was Deputy Director General in Planning and Infrastructure and Director General for Water with the WA State Government. He has also been a Director at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy and has been working in consulting for the last couple of years.
His extensive leadership and business experience includes a broad understanding of and strong relationships with, the public and private sector in WA and leading multidisciplinary teams for major government projects.
Paul said: “I am really looking forward to this new challenge. In the coming weeks and months I will be taking the opportunity to meet with some of our key clients to introduce myself and talk about how we can add value to their businesses.”
Bill added: “It is important to acknowledge Don Phillip’s significant contribution to Aurecon. Don has been with the organisation 28 years and in Perth in a buildings leader role since 1994. He has been managing the Perth office since February 2010 and has led the team through a period marked by significant change and growth achieving some dramatic results.”
“Don will still be a vital part of Aurecon moving into a business collaboration role in Aurecon’s property business,” he said.
