Major Shanghai mixed use development appointment for Aurecon

21 August 2012 - In a move that confirms Aurecon’s growing presence in the Buildings sector in China and Hong Kong, Aurecon has been appointed to the Mapletree project in the Minhang District of Shanghai, China. 

Aurecon will provide all building services engineering and sustainability consulting services for the project, with a core objective of environmentally sustainable design that attains a LEED Gold rating.

The first large-scale commercial and retail development of its kind in Shanghai, Mapletree will be developed in Minhang, a fast growing decentralised business district with a population of 2.5 million people (11 per cent of Shanghai). With over 400 000 square metres of floor area, the centre will be a hub for creativity and innovation, alongside retail and leisure facilities, as well as public spaces and integrated art work that enliven the user’s experience.
