07 September 2011 - Aurecon was recognised by the Australian Institute of Project Management’s ACT Chapter last week for our role on the Building the Education Revolution (BER) Illawarra Region works package with a Project Management Achievement Award.
Aurecon was engaged as Programme and Project Manager for the AUD million works package, consisting of 235 separate building projects spread over 185 schools with project values ranging between AUD 000 and AUD million.
The Aurecon Project Management Team included 25 project managers, nine of which obtained a Diploma of Project Management through a registered training organisation during the course of the programme, with a further six staff nearing completion. This formal training was complemented by on the job training provided by senior Aurecon staff.
A special mention was made acknowledging Aurecon’s ‘exemplar safety ethos and behaviours’ with no incidents by our project team and exceptional on site safety statistics, whilst administering and superintending in excess of 120 construction sites concurrently over southern NSW.
