William (Bill) Cox is Managing Director for Aurecon in Australia and New Zealand, responsible for operations across the region.
He was previously General Manager, ANZ after several years as General Manager, Transport – Asia Pacific. Prior to this he was Aurecon’s Region Manager, NSW/ACT.
William has been extensively involved in the design, documentation and construction supervision of major infrastructure projects, particularly highways, railways and airports, including the Sydney Cross City Tunnel Project, and the Sydney Rail Clearways program.
William was also an Alliance leadership team member for the Sydney Harbour Bridge Infrastructure Upgrade Alliance.
He was also a member of the Novo Rail Alliance leadership team which is delivering a substantial portfolio of infrastructure work across Sydney’s local rail network.
William obtained his BE degree in civil engineering from the University of New South Wales in 1986 and joined Aurecon the following year.
In 2015, William was named one of Engineers Australia's top 100 most influential engineers in Australia.
