Aurecon

Aurecon is providing engineering design for the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer, incorporating the LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre, which will be located within the Flinders Medical Centre.

Located within the middle of a busy hospital campus, the project requires a design that integrates with the existing hospital yet creates minimal disruption to hospital operations during construction.

Due for completion in 2011, the facility will house more than 100 research and clinical investigators working collaboratively in orthodox medicine and holistic treatment methods to achieve more effective and faster results in cancer control.

A key feature of the centre will be the integration of research across a number of basic disciplines and clinical sciences to support the rapid application of research findings to clinical practice.
