Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the eighth most populous country in the world.

Petroleum plays a central role in the Nigerian economy, although a large percentage of the population remains involved in agriculture. In addition, the economy has a growing telecommunications market, a well developed financial services sector and an established manufacturing industry.

Aurecon’s team has contributed to Nigeria’s vital infrastructure since 2001, with services in the transport sector that encompass conceptual, feasibility and planning phases, through to design and construction supervision of projects. In addition we have provided ancillary services including management advisory project management services.

Our contribution within Nigeria is strengthened by our knowledge and understanding of the geographic, cultural, climatic and environmental factors as well as statutory and legal requirements that are unique to Nigeria.

Projects include the pre- and feasibility study for the Lagos Infrastructure Project, detail design and construction supervision of the Epe Expressway Toll Road; detail design of the Isheri bridges; detail design of the Osborne Jetty Terminal; and stormwater master planning and detail design of stormwater structures for Benin City.
