Resources & Manufacturing Services Leader, Gauteng
Pieter Viljoen, an Aurecon Global Board Director, is the Resources & Manufacturing Services Leader for Gauteng. He holds a BSc in civil engineering, an MBA, as well as Masters and PhD degrees in Project and Construction Management. The latter saw him specialise in the project management of large infrastructure development projects. In South Africa, he is a registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) and a certified Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM). He has over 30 years of project management experience, varying from infrastructure and socio-economic developmental projects and facilities management to infrastructure asset management, amongst others. He has published over 20 papers and has received the award for the best paper presented at the eighth quinquennial convention of the South African Institution of Civil Engineers (SAICE); and in 1988, the award for Excellence in the Urban Engineering Division of Urban Engineering, also from SAICE.
