Vietnam, a single-party constitutional republic, is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Joining the World Trade Organization in January 2007 gave Vietnam greater access to the global economy with its key exports including rice, cashews, coffee, tea, pepper, wood, clothing and footwear, rubber, and fisheries products.

Aurecon's office in Hanoi was opened as a Pacific Power International office in 2001 and officially became Aurecon in 2003.The office was initially set up to support power projects such as Vietnam’s first 500kV transmission line, the Pha Lai 2 and Uong Bi coal fired power station projects.

With a continued record of success, global expertise and experience, the group’s involvement has expanded to include the property, transportresources, manufacturing, and government sectors.

Projects have included the provision of full engineering services for the BlueScope Steel manufacturing facility; Ban Phuc nickel mine; Thu Thiem tunnel, the exclusive Danang Beach Resort; and iconic buildings such as the Park Land Centre in HCM City and the Indochina Plaza in Hanoi.
